Sonora Sunrise

Sonora Sunrise Jasper from Milpillas, Mexico. This is a stunning combination of Cuprite (red/orange), Chrysocolla (blue/green), and Tenorite (black). This is some of the most eye catching material I’ve seen!  It has striking blood red and greenish blue colors, and it cuts astonishing cabochons that are perfect for today’s fine designer jewelry (or a personal collection). These Sonora Sunrise slabs come from a very early find when the colors and patterns were at their best.  The recent specimens have dropped dramatically in quality, indicating the end of the pocket has been reached.

Please enlarge and view the photographs for more detailed views. Shown wet to simulate polish. As with all natural rock, there may be fractures or pits to seal or work around. Each slab has the approximate dimensions listed. I use the longest and widest point and the thinnest, it’s not averaged.

If you like this material you may also like chrysocolla, shattuckite, or the ever-popular turquoise.

We have worked hard with the lighting and the settings on the camera so that the colors are very accurate. Individual settings may affect color viewing on various devices and I cannot predict what your device will do, but on my computer, they’re dead on for color. I appreciate your business!
